The model’s center tread area and inner shoulder are made from a silica-based tire compound that promotes wet weather traction. The wet zone also features the wider circumferential tread grooves that channel water away from the tire footprint. While the tire provides remarkable summer weather traction, it is not suited for winter weather driving as the tire compound loses its road gripping ability in colder temperatures.
